Technical Analysis on the Casing Well Backfi lling of Reinforcement for Small Reservoirs

  • Abstract: Dam leakage is a common hidden damage of water-storing hydraulic projects, and it is also the most basic problem to be solved in the reinforcement of various types of dangerous reservoirs. Based on a concrete example of removing dangers and strengthening for dangerous reservoirs, in this paper, several technical schemes widely used in anti-seepage and plugging for small reservoirs were comprehensively compared and analyzed. It points out that casing well backfilling technology owns the obvious advantages of short construction period, little damage to the original dam structure and low project cost, and is one of the most effective measures to deal with the water leakage from earth-dams. Through the discussion, it can provide useful technical reference for the reinforcement of other similar reservoirs.
