  • With the technical research of the riser tensioner,the functional advantages of the direct active riser tensioner is mainly analyzed. The diff erence of the structure and technical characteristics of typical direct acting riser tensioners are described.Combining off shore platform drilling technology, various types of tensioner structure and function advantages and disadvantages, hydraulic cylinder collinear type and piston rod compression type tensioner is recommended, and further research for the platform applicability of the product will be carried out
