Key Technology for Excavation of Main Access Tunnel of a Hydropower Station in East Africa

  • The main access tunnel of a hydropower station in East Africa is the main transportation channel of the hydropower station. The tunnel is long, the net section is wide, and the geological and hydrological environment is poor, so that the excavation construction is difficult and the safety risk is high. In this regard, combined with the construction practice of the project, this paper makes a detailed discussion on the key technologies of the excavation and construction of the main access tunnel into the plant, for reference.
