Application of Flexible Base in Asphalt Pavement Overhaul Construction

  • Semi-rigid base course is the most common form of asphalt pavement in our country. This structure is mostly suitable for road sections with low rainfall, low traffic volume and light load. Under heavy traffic loads, cracks, potholes and other diseases are easily generated.Compared with semi-rigid bases, fl exible bases have more advantages. For this reason, it is of great significance to carry out research on asphalt stabilized macadam fl exible bases. Relying on a certain asphalt pavement overhaul project, this paper proposes a fl exible base construction plan based on a comprehensive understanding of the main causes of pavement diseases, and focuses on the construction process to improve the overall quality of the project.
