Application of Underwater Riprap in Xijiang Main Stream Treatment Project

  • Underwater riprap revetment is a more effective treatment method when controlling the dangerous section of river embankment. It can improve the anti scour ability and structural stability of the embankment by throwing a certain thickness of block stone layer in the bank collapse section, which can stabilize the river regime and protect the embankment. However, underwater riprap operation has a large amount of construction and is easy to be affected by many factors, resulting in its operation quality is often difficult to be guaranteed. In this regard, we should deeply study the underwater riprap technology and study the application and practical methods of underwater riprap operation based on Xijiang main stream treatment project, in order to provide certain guidance for the majority of technicians and operators, and finally promote the sustainable development of river treatment in China.
