Numerical Simulation of Construction of Steel Sheet Pile Cofferdam without Internal Support

  • Steel sheet pile cofferdam is a kind of support structure often used in underwater engineering construction, it is subjected to large water pressure in the construction environment, and maintenance is difficult, its construction safety is particularly important. This paper takes the steel sheet pile cofferdam construction project of No.1 scenic spot world (gold and Silver Island Hotel) in Macao, China as an example, the finite element software ABAQUS is used to establish the analysis model of the unsupported steel cofferdam, the stress conditions of various steel plate cofferdams under different working conditions are discussed. The results show that, the unsupported steel plate cofferdam pile adopts FSP-III and FSP-IIIA type Larsen steel plate materials to meet the construction bearing capacity and deformation requirements
