Abstract:
The main pier high pile cap of the opening bridge project in Terengganu, Malaysia is located on the navigable channel of the river. The water depth of the cap is 7-8m, and the pile foundation is a concrete precast pipe pile with a diameter of 1m. The pile cap is firstly driven by concrete prefabricated pipe piles, and then the bottomed steel box is installed. The steel box uses steel hoop as the support. Due to the large area, the steel box bottom plate and side panels are modularly designed, and they are hoisted in place in blocks. In the trench formed between the bottom plate module and the concrete precast pipe piles, the bottom-sealed concrete is poured to complete the water blocking of the steel box. Form a construction environment for dry operation of the cap. Based on this, this article introduces in detail the construction technology of the main pier high pile cap hoop method bottomed steel box from the aspects of design, hoisting, and bottom-sealing concrete pouring, in order to provide a reference for related construction.
