Abstract: Municipal engineering can meet the basic requirements of urban internal water supply and drainage, pipelines, and road design, and is conducive to promoting the development of urbanization. Based on this, engineers need to use modern technology to carry out engineering design, and optimized design based on BIM technology support can eliminate problems in municipal engineering operation, design, and management. From a macro perspective, the application of BIM technology to municipal engineering can promote the modernization of the overall project and improve the economic benefits of the project. Based on this, this article discusses the application measures of BIM technology in municipal engineering for reference.
