Abstract: Nowadays, the social economy is developing rapidly, the process of urbanization is accelerating, and the scale of municipal engineering construction is getting bigger and bigger. Municipal engineering tunnels are the most difficult part of the project, and the construction technology used is very important. The article describes the characteristics of municipal engineering tunnel construction, and points out the influencing factors such as the complexity of the environment and unstable soil conditions. The basic principles and scope of application of the shallow-buried digging technology are explained, combined with actual cases, the pipe shed support technology and the construction technology of the double-side heading method involved in the construction of municipal engineering tunnels are analyzed, and the municipal engineering is discussed.
