Abstract: As a common problem in highway engineering construction, settlement section is particularly prominent in the area with complex topography and geology. The research shows that if the technical protection measures are not taken in the settlement section, there will be many quality and construction safety problems in the settlement section. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen the construction of settlement section, especially the construction of subgrade and pavement in settlement section. Based on this, this paper mainly analyzes the hazards and key construction technology of highway engineering settlement section, in order to provide reference for the current construction quality control.
