Abstract: At present, the soil erosion in many areas of China is serious, and environmental damage has increased the degree of soil erosion. A lot of sediment flows into the river channel under the action of river water flow, and siltation occurs at the bottom of the river channel, which will raise the river bed, so the life and property of the residents living around the river are under certain threat. Based on this, river dredging should be carried out in such areas to clean up the silt at the bottom of the river to ensure the safety of the river. This article analyzes the causes of river siltation and the main points of the river dredging project, and proposes river dredging methods in the new period, hoping to provide assistance for river dredging.
